Legion of Honor

For San Francisco’s Palace of the Legion of Honor, GFDS designed bracing for tile walls, reinforced the hollow clay construction and added steel elements to strengthen the roof, all without altering its original appearance. The new ground-level skylight frame was designed to support significant live loads safely . . . including climbing children.
